All levels are taught – beginner, intermediate, and advanced. And all ages – from young children to mature adults. Everyone is welcome!

Introductory Lesson: A single introductory 30-minute lesson is offered to each potential student, free of charge, to provide an opportunity for us to get to know each other, without the added pressure of payment. There is no obligation to continue after the introductory lesson.

Lesson Tuition: Students may enroll either on a monthly tuition basis or schedule individual lessons as needed.

Monthly Tuition (Recommended): Monthly tuition reserves a consistent weekly lesson time for your student. Tuition remains the same each month, regardless of whether there are four or five lessons.

The monthly tuition rates are $100 per month (30-minute lessons), $140 per month (45-minute lessons), $210 per month (60-minute lessons), and $285 per month (90-minute lessons). Monthly tuition payments are due in full at the beginning of the first lesson of each month.

Monthly tuition provides a reserved weekly time and supports steady progress from week to week.

Flexible Scheduling Option (Pay-As-You-Go): Individual lessons are also available for students who need a more flexible schedule, payable in full at the beginning of each lesson.

The per-lesson rates are $27 for a single 30-minute lesson, $36 for a single 45-minute lesson, $55 for a single 60-minute lesson, and $80 for a single 90-minute lesson.

Availability for individual lessons is limited and varies based on the weekly schedule. Students enrolled in monthly tuition receive priority scheduling.

Financial Assistance: I believe the gift of music should be available to everyone, regardless of ability to pay. If you need assistance with paying for lessons, please let me know. Your information will be kept confidential, and I will be glad to accommodate your demonstrated need for assistance.

Makeup Policy: Please note that there is no credit provided due to lessons missed due to student absence, although the teacher will do his best to provide a makeup lesson opportunity. For lessons missed due to teacher absence, full credit will always be given.

Missed Lessons: If a student must miss a lesson due to illness, family trip, emergency, or school activity, the lesson will be rescheduled if an opening can be found that is acceptable to both teacher and student. Lessons missed without prior notification, as well as lessons missed due to insufficient practice, will not be rescheduled. There is no reduction in tuition for missed lessons, except in the event of extended illness or teacher absence.

Family Discount: Families with more than one student enrolled on monthly tuition receive a discount of $10 per month for the second student and $15 per month for each additional student.

Recital Fee: Typically, two recitals are scheduled during the academic term, in Winter and Spring. The fee for each recital participant is yet to be determined, although it will be based in large part upon the cost of the recital location.

Registration Fee: There is currently no registration fee for Piano Lessons.

“The piano is often referred to as the king of all instruments. And for good reason. It has a range of more than 7 octaves – 88 keys on most instruments – and is capable of expressing both the most incredible power and the most subtle nuances.

This wonderful instrument is the composer’s instrument. It is the instrument that all university-trained musicians are required to learn, regardless of their particular instrumental or vocal preference. It is truly an amazing instrument! And in my opinion, everyone should learn to play it.

I have been performing and teaching the piano for over 40 years and have never grown tired of it. I received my own training from many incredible musicians over the years, most recently from the piano studio of Dr. Evgeny Rivkin at the University of Georgia, where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Music – Piano.
